  • Kids Shabbat Takeover

    Thursday, Feb. 1, 4:30 pm & Friday, Feb. 2, 5:00 pm

    Parents watch out! The kids are running the show this Shabbat dinner! Join Chabad Houses around the world as they host a worldwide unity event like no other, celebrating family, community and the power of children to make a difference.

    Children ages 5-12 are invited to help prepare the food and program for the Shabbat dinner on Thursday, Feb. 1, 4:30-5:30 pm at the Lubavitch Centre, 5750 Oak St.

    The whole family is invited to a Shabbat dinner which will be run by the children on Friday, Feb. 2, 5:00 pm at the Lubavitch Centre, 5750 Oak St. 

    Children are welcome to participate in both the Thursday and Friday programs or just participate in the Shabbat dinner if they are unable to attend the Thursday program.

  • Shark Tank: Israel Edition

    Sunday, June 3, 1:30-3:00 pm at Chabad of Richmond, 4775 Blundell Rd, Richmond, BC V7C 1H2

    Teamwork meets creative thinking at Shark Tank: Israel Edition. Children will learn about the impact of three organizations addressing current needs of Israeli citizens, while developing their own one-of-a-kind innovations. Using tools and their imaginations, participants will team up to build their ideas, which will be presented to the sharks.

    The event will also launch Operation Protectâ€"a mission focused initiative to keep Israel safe. Kids will make their own mezuzah cases, take on a good deed, and say a special prayer for Israel’s protection.
